Field notes on family day plans

What is a family day trip planner?

A family day trip planner is a tool that turns the day you have in mind into a real itinerary. Tell it who's coming, roughly where you are, and what kind of mood you're after. It works out which activities fit your kids' ages and energy, picks places to eat near each one, and lays the day out in order so you can stop researching and start packing the snacks.

How does Partiamo plan a family day?

Partiamo reads your prompt, factors in the ages of your kids, the time you have, the part of the country you're starting from, and what you're hungry for. We mix curated venue picks with smart matching to assemble three timed moves: an anchor activity, a place to eat nearby, and a follow-on stop. You can tweak any piece, share the plan with a co-parent, or save it for later.

Can I get a personalized family day plan?

Yes. Every Partiamo plan is built around the family doing the planning, not a generic top-ten list. We use the ages of your kids, your starting point, your timeframe, and the texture of your prompt (rainy, indoor, low-key, big swing) to shape what we surface. Two families typing similar prompts will usually get different days, because the constraints are different.

What kinds of activities does Partiamo suggest?

We focus on places families actually want to spend a half- or full day at: science centers, kid museums, working farms, hiking trails sized for small legs, water play, hands-on art studios, train rides, animal sanctuaries, and the local oddities that don't show up on the same five blogs as everywhere else. The mix is curated, not scraped.

Do you suggest restaurants near each activity?

Yes. Every day plan includes a meal near the anchor activity, walkable when possible. We weight the picks toward kid-friendly without going to autopilot. Small-table family-run spots, real food, places that won't blink at a crayon request. If you noted dietary needs in your prompt, we keep them in mind.

How much does Partiamo cost?

Partiamo is free to plan with, and the core planning feature will stay free past launch. Plan as a guest and your day plans stick around for seven days. Create a free account and saved plans live for thirty days, with link sharing and a lightweight dashboard. We'll add paid features later for families who want extras on top of the free planner, and we'll be clear about pricing well before anything changes.

Can I share my day plan with my partner or co-parent?

Yes. Every plan gets a shareable link that works without an account on the other end. Send it to a partner, grandparent, or babysitter and they see the same itinerary you do, including activity timing, meal pick, and directions between stops. Links stay live for thirty days and can be renewed.

Do you plan for specific ages or interests?

Yes. Plans bend around the kids in your prompt. A four-year-old who loves trains gets a different day than a nine-year-old who loves dinosaurs, and a family with both gets a day that threads the needle. You can name interests directly (LEGO, water, hiking, art, animals) or just describe the mood you're after.
